Wicher Schreuders

Wicher Schreuders

Wicher Schreuders (1955) graduated from the Erasmus University Rotterdam's Faculty of Economics (1980). Before joining the Erasmus University, he was enrolled at the Dutch Social Economic Council (SER) in The Hague. In 1982 he switched to becoming an assistant professor at the Rotterdam Faculty of Law. Since 2000, he has been acting as Assistant Director to the Institute's (post-)graduate studies in Law and Economics. From the moment, this master program received the Erasmus Mundus recognition by the European Commission (2004), Wicher is the Erasmus Mundus Assistant Coordinator for this program.

Schreuders’ main research dealt with topics of economic policy, the history of economic thought, comparative economic systems, consumer policy and general issues of regulation. He has thereto published several articles. In addition, he lectured courses on consumer theory and the economics of public law, as well as teaching introductions to Law and Economics, economic systems, microeconomics and macroeconomics.

At the moment his main activity is managing the Erasmus Mundus Masters Course and all other the RILE activities. Apart from that, he is involved in teaching Introduction in Law and Economics to Dutch Law students only.
