Franziska Weber
Franziska studied the Bachelor of European and Comparative Law at the Universities of Oldenburg and Bremen, including study visits at the Universities of Sheffield and Bologna. After her Bachelor graduation she could gain work experience as an advisor for the IHK Nord - Representation of Northern German Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Brussels. She completed her LL.M. - Master European Law School - at the University of Maastricht cum laude. During this time she was Assistant Editor of the Maastricht Journal and Research Assistant to Prof. Michael G. Faure.
In October 2008 she started her PhD at the Rotterdam Institute of Law and Economics (RILE) with the topic 'Towards an optimal mix of public and private enforcement in consumer law' under the supervision of Prof. Roger J. van den Bergh and Prof. Willem H. van Boom.
After a research visit to Sweden in August 2009, Franziska is currently staying at the University of Bologna in the ambit of the EDLE (European Doctorate in Law and Economics) program.
